It's your responsibility as a tenant to know your rights. Your landlord will never tell you what your rights are. Landlords say and do illegal things all the time. If you want to challenge a landlord in court regarding the pet policy in Ontario, you would probably win your case, however the landlord and tenant board is mainly funded by landlords. Good luck
